Meet Your Presenters
Presenter
Dr. Bertha Delgadillo
Dr. Bertha Delgadillo is a National Board Certified Teacher. She began her teaching career in 2013 and served as a high school Spanish teacher for over a decade before becoming an instructional coach in 2025. Delgadillo is passionate about advocating for students, educators, and inclusive school communities. She regularly presents at conferences and leads professional learning to support educators. In 2023, she was named Georgia World Languages Teacher of the Year by FLAG; in 2024, SCOLT Teacher of the Year; and in 2025 she was one of the five ACTFL National TOY finalists.

Claudia Elliott
Claudia Elliott is a Spanish teacher and the founder of Growing With Proficiency and The Spanish Teacher Academy. She is passionate about empowering world language teachers to create engaging, sustainable classrooms that foster language acquisition and cultural competence. She hosts the Growing With Proficiency Podcast and regularly presents at conferences and leads professional learning for educators. In 2022, she was named Florida World Languages Teacher of the Year by FFLA and SCOLT Teacher of the Year and was one of five finalists for ACTFL National Teacher of the Year.
