JANUARY 15, 2026 AT 7 PM ET - EN ESPAÑOL -
Hi, I’m Claudia 👋🏽
I’m a Spanish teacher, a mom of two boys, and a lifelong learner passionate about second language acquisition, social-emotional learning, and growth mindset.
I began teaching in 2004 as a substitute, then part-time in 2005, and full-time by 2006. Those early years were hard. I cared deeply about my students, but I didn’t yet have the tools or clarity to teach the way I wanted. I questioned myself—and more than once, I wondered if I should give up.
That struggle pushed me to become obsessed with learning and growing—studying language acquisition, reflecting on my practice, and building systems that actually work in real classrooms.
Along the way, I’ve been honored to be named Florida World Language Teacher of the Year (2021), Southern Conference Teacher of the Year (2022), and a finalist for ACTFL Teacher of the Year (2022).
Today, I help teachers build a strong, sustainable foundation for their language classes—so they can create meaningful, communicative lessons without overplanning or burning out.
I’m so glad you’re here to join me on this journey. 💛
